Learn how to self heal and maintain good health. Beginners always welcome.

This class is suited for persons of all ages and ability. We do a series of exercises to give the body a very thorough and gentle stretch. The movements improve mobility, heal & strengthen the joints and restore good health.

The class begins with a brief warm up before doing a full sequence of exercises for the Neck & Shoulders, Back & Legs. Further exercises are designed to strengthen and heal Heart & Lung conditions and to increase Breathing capacity & Energy. All of the exercises are designed to bring specific health benefits and are done slowly.

The practice is specifically designed to be very healing while improving balance and developing a calm mind and soothing the nerves. Simple and effective.

Option 1 - 6:30pm to 7:30pm   £10 Drop In or £30 Per Month 

The class starts with exercises to warm up and loosen the whole body, then a stretching routine to improve flexibility.

Standing postures with slow gentle movements are used to calm the mind and create a deep state of physical and mental relaxation and increase the flow of energy.

Tai Chi movement drills support students to learn the fundamental techniques essential to good practice. We then apply these to learning the Tai Chi Form. The long Form is broken down into smaller sections and each posture is described in intricate and precise detail, including the specific health benefits and also the self defence applications (not practiced in this class). In time the movements become like flowing water. With more practice, students are taught how to include the powerful and explosive movements into the Form.

Option 2 - 6:30pm to 8:30pm  (2hrs)   £13 Drop In or £45 Per Month 

In the second class (1hr) (which students are welcome to join after they have achieved some fundamental skill from attendance in the first class) we practice further aspects of Tai Chi including the use of weapons.
Students learn the Pao Chui Cannon Pounding Form. The emphasis is on fast and explosive Fajin movements that help teach and improve the self-defence/combat elements of Tai Chi.

Secondly we train in the use of Tai Chi weapons. We are currently working on the Tai Chi wooden Staff Form and its applications.

Anyone experiencing serious health issues or injuries is not recommended to do this class
due to its high level of physical and mental intensity.

WUDANG NEIJIA QUAN-FA

Tuesday Mornings - 10am to 12pm (2hrs) 

The original Wudang (Zhang Sanfeng) system is working at the highest level of internal martial arts practice.

The emphasis in this class is the original Wudang Internal system created by Zhang Sanfeng. It is the origin of all other internal styles & contains the highest levels of self-defense & healing.

Training drills for fighting applications combine solo forms and working with partners.

Weapons used include knives and sticks as well as the more traditional weapons such as swords and spears.

This is a private class - access requires attendance in any of my other classes. If you would like to try this class, please ask me about it.
